Building Connections through Recreation Software

As a mom of two soccer-loving kids, I spend a lot of time at our local soccer
complex. Last night, I had an experience that made me prouder than ever to be part
of a company that helps recreation organizations connect with their communities.

Let me explain. Thursdays during soccer season are hectic. I drop off my first child
for their one-hour practice, rush over to drop off my second child for their hour-and-
a-half practice, then return to pick up the first and head back to the field to wait for
the second to finish. Last night, my first child forgot to bring a change of shoes, so
they ended up playing on the playground in cleats and shin guards. While there,
they played with another child who, despite having fun, wasn’t able to communicate
due to a language barrier.

I struck up a conversation with the child’s grandmother using an online translator
(thank you, technology!). She asked me if my son was part of a team and how she
could get her grandson involved. They had just moved here two weeks ago, and she
wanted to help him make friends. As it happens, I knew that our local recreation
organizations use Sportsman Software for online registration. I was thrilled to pull up
the rec center’s website on her phone and show her how to register him for soccer
right then and there. How amazing is that?

Recreation organizations have a unique ability to foster relationships within their
communities, and using software that supports online registration helps remove
barriers that might otherwise prevent someone from getting involved.
If your community is looking for reliable software to handle online registrations,
reservations, event ticketing, and more, check out Sportsman. I can personally
attest to how user-friendly and efficient it makes the registration process.
